These are a couple pictures of a small bathroom that we remodeled and we are still trying to find the "before" pictures that we taken. Once the "before" pics are up, you will see just what we can do with any space and budget. This was one of the most dramatic changes we have ever been a part of. So, check back later to see the original bathroom.
Several things were not working correctly in this very small area. The water softener wasn't working and the plastic piping was being damaged each time a load of laundry was being done. What you can't see is the washer and dryer is about 12" to the left of these pictures. It was near impossible to do laundry in this utility room without hitting the piping and causing a flood! So, I simplified their issue and made a mess look more organized. The addition of copper tubing also added a great deal of strength.

Here are a couple systems which employ hot water to actually heat the entire house. The picture on the left is using a boiler configuration, the left is using two tankless water heater to allow for ENDLESS hot water. Both of these systems allow for a profoundly efficient way to heat your showers, sinks, fixtures and the structure itself. If you are already heating water, why not use every bit of it?
The picture to the left is of a multiple head shower systems that encorporates a rain-down shower head with horizontal body spray technology.
The picture to the right is of a major remodel which shows clearly what a residential plumbing system should look like. Notice all of the piping and tubing is above the floor joists which will allow for the basement to be finished off very easily and far cheaper than normal. Also, you will notice there are "ZERO" burn marks from soldering copper joints, even the ones sitting right on the wood. This is a clear sign of a well trained plumber who cares about the work he is doing, and for the customer who asked him to do it.
With all this talk about being green, we sometimes forget that our grandparents' generations had actually very little to work with. Some of the old ways of doing things are making a comback because of their efficiency. Other things, like the picture to the right are a spin-off of the old radiator to the left. Instead of having heat above the floor, if the tubing is beneath the floor, it warms the floor and then all of the air in that room at the same time. How many times has a room in your house felt great, until your bare feet touch that freezing cold floor? With a radiant floor heating system, you'll never have to wear thermal socks just to walk on your nice floors.
